NEW DELHI:  Two planes heading from Delhi to Kathmandu were grounded this afternoon after a phone call warned of bombs on the Air India and Jet Airways flights.

Both planes were checked by bomb disposal squads, who said nothing suspicious has been found.

A call made to the Jet Airways office at the airport at 1.30 warned of bombs on the planes, each of which had over 100 passengers.

The Jet Airways passengers were asked to deplane when the alert was sounded; the Air India aircraft was prepping for take-off and was asked to return to an isolated bay where the passengers were evacuated.
