Twin blasts kill at least 18 in Baghdad market

BAGHDAD: At least 18 people were killed and 43 others wounded when two blasts occurred in central Baghdad, officials said on Saturday.

Local police have confirmed the bomb blasts.

The first blast occurred in a market located in the Al-Sinek neighbourhood in Baghdad while the second one targeted the people who arrived at the site of the first blast to rescue victims, Iraqi television reported.

Sources feared more casualties from the blasts.
