Toshakhana case: Imran Khan’s plea for exemption from appearance today approved

ISLAMABAD: Sessions Court of Islamabad accepted Imran Khan’s request for exemption from appearance today in the Toshakhana case.

Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal of the District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad heard the Toshakhana case against Imran Khan.

Imran Khan’s lawyers filed a request for exemption from Chairman PTI’s attendance today and stated that there is still a strike at the Islamabad bar and the strike has been going on for 3 days.

On this, Amjad Pervez said that Imran Khan is not included in the lawyers’ strike, if the accused lawyers were on strike, then Imran Khan should have been in the courtroom. At the trial stage, the presence of the accused in the courtroom is required. Should come if their lawyers want to go on strike.

On this occasion, Imran Khan’s lawyer Khawaja Haris said that Imran Khan’s life is in danger, the government has withdrawn security from Imran Khan, the Chief Justice of Islamabad has asked for a report on the withdrawal of Imran Khan’s security. are not present in the court, they can also appear in the court through video link, so the request for exemption from the presence of Imran Khan should be approved, however, others will continue the court proceedings.
