QUETTA: At least three people of a family were killed and two others were injured as armed men stormed their house and sprayed volley of bullets in Nawa Killi area of the provincial capital, here on Saturday.

A spokesman for Frontier Corps Balochistan said that the armed assailants forcibly entered house of a FC personnel in Nawa Killi area of the metropolis and opened indiscriminate fire at the family, leaving three dead and two injured. “Three members of family of FC personnel were killed and two others suffered gunshot wounds in firing in Nawa Killi area,” he said.

He said that old enmity was the cause behind the murders as saying one of the injured who was a woman identified the armed attackers as their old enemies who came from Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and opened fire at her family.

The police said that the firing incident took place at the house of FC personnel, Habibur Rehman which resulted in killing of three people and injuring of two others. The assailants managed to escape from the scene.

The dead and injured were shifted to FC Hospital in the city. The police have launched efforts to arrest the suspects identified by one of the injured. Further probe was underway.
