BRESCIA: The movement for the liberation of Khalistan from India has reached Italy where the Khalistan referendum was held by Sikhs for Justice.

Voting for the Khalistan referendum has been completed in the Italian city of Brescia, with nearly 40,000 votes cast in the Khalistan referendum.

Voting on Khalistan continued uninterrupted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with about 10,000 people unable to cast their ballots due to time constraints.

A large number of people belonging to the Sikh community were present outside the polling station. The participants in the voting demanded that India should liberate Khalistan and the United Nations should take notice of the atrocities against Sikhs in India.

A day before the Khalistan voting, thousands of Sikhs marched to highlight the importance of Khalistan on the occasion of Besakhi.

A large number of women, children and men took part in the Khalistan March, with Sikhs chanting slogans for independence from India.

It should be noted that the Sikh community has been demanding an independent Khalistan for decades.

Earlier, seven countries, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland, had voted for a Khalistan referendum.
