In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of martyred Irfan Ahmed in Sopore town.
Irfan Ahmed was martyred along with two other youth by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation at Panzgam area of Pulwama district, on Saturday.
Thousands of people including women from adjacent villages raising pro-Pakistan, pro-Azadi and anti-India slogans poured in to have a last glimpse of martyr at Wadoora area of the town. The mourners took the body to the martyrs’ graveyard and laid him to rest amid sobs and tears.
Meanwhile, normal life remained crippled due to shutdown in several areas of Pulwama and Shopian districts in protest against the killing of 12 youth by the Indian troops during the last week.
