Third Test: Pakistan 87-4 at close, lead by 31 against WIndies

SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates: Pakistan were 87-4 in their second innings at close on the third day of the third and final Test against West Indies in Sharjah on Tuesday.

Opener Azhar Ali was 45 not out and Safraz Ahmed on 19 with Pakistan leading by 31 runs with six wickets in hand to avoid a defeat.

West Indian opener Kraigg Brathwaite carried his bat through the innings with an unbeaten 142 as West Indies, bowled out for 337, took a 56-run lead over Pakistan’s first innings total of 281.

Fast bowlers Wahab Riaz finished with 5-88 while Mohammad Amir took 3-71.

Pakistan lead the three-match series 2-0 after winning the first Test in Dubai by 56 runs and the second in Abu Dhabi by 133.
