US auto giant Tesla has recalled its 90,000 Model S cars after seat belt issue.

As first reported by a newspaper and later it was confirmed by Tesla the Model S seatbelts may function improperly in an accident.

This is reportedly in response to a single incident in Europe, where a driver complained her seatbelt came loose as she was turning to speak with a passenger in the back seat.

Tesla confirmed the driver’s complaint, noting the seatbelt could come loose during an accident.

The company has not been required to recall any vehicles; this appears to be voluntary and preventative.
