Terror bid foiled; 3kg bomb defused in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The law enforcers foiled a terror bid by recovering a bomb in congested location of the provincial capital Peshawar which was later defused by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Saturday.

The police was informed about presence of suspicious box in Bacha Khan Chowk after which it rushed the scene and BDS was called in.

The BDS personnel during search recovered a bomb weighing three kilogram planted  in the box which was defused later.

Traffic remained suspended in the surroundings of Bacha Khan Chowk during the episode. After clearing the venue the traffic was reopened for vehicles.
