LAHORE: Tareen Group has decided not to attend the Punjab Cabinet meeting.

Leader of Tareen Group Aun Chaudhry said that our group is adamant on the demand of change of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and the group will not attend the meeting of Punjab Cabinet.

Aun Chaudhry said that the cabinet meeting would be chaired by Usman Buzdar due to which no member would attend the meeting.

Earlier, Aun Chaudhry telephoned the group’s leader Jahangir Tareen and briefed him on his meeting with government officials.

Earlier, the government had requested the Tareen group not to take extreme measures immediately.

Aun Chaudhry, the leader of the Tareen group, has claimed that Defense Minister Pervez Khattak contacted him last night.

According to Aun Chaudhry, Pervez Khattak said that important decisions should be stopped and we will soon inform of important developments.

Sources said that in a conversation with Aun Chaudhry, Pervez Khattak requested the Tareen group not to take extreme measures immediately.

According to the sources, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has also telephoned Aun Chaudhry of Tarin Group.

Earlier, two National Assembly members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) alongwith activists stormed the Sindh House after breaking its main gate.

The PTI activists led by National Assembly members Faheem Khan and Ataullah stormed Sindh House in the Red Zone.

The PTI workers smashed the door of Sindh House and entered the premises.

PTI workers protested inside Sindh House and chanted slogans. Meanwhile, Sindh Police stationed at Sindh House remained helpless in front of PTI workers.

A contingent of Islamabad police also reached Sindh House but this contingent also failed to stop the PTI workers.

The Islamabad Police arrested the members of the National Assembly and 12 workers and transferred to Secretariat, where the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Shahbaz Gill took the MNAs and the activists with him.
