Sirajul Haq vows to follow dacoits looted national treasury

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq said the culprits exposed in Panama Leaks will not get shelter in the United States, Britain and even in Panama as JI will follow the corrupt elements who looted national treasury.

Sirajul Haq while criticising Pakistani rulers said whenever voices were echoed for recovery of stolen money the corrupt elements started raising voice for endangered democracy in Pakistan. He said JI is against corruption and dacoity but not democracy. He demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) to head inquiry commission to probe into Panama revelations as he is the only personalities came under confidence of the nation.

Senator Sirajul Haq expressed his thoughts while addressing participants of an event organised in Sheikupura in connection with International Labour Day observed across Pakistan. The JI Ameer also showed solidarity with labourers by having lunch with the workers of Bhatta Ashiq Work.

The occasion was also attended by JI Punjab Ameer Mian Maqsood Ahmed, deputy secretary general Azhar Iqbal Hassan, secretary information Ameerul Azeem, district chiefs Rana Tohfa Dastgeer Ahmed, Shaikh Muhammad Jameel, Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood Warak, Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan and others.

He said labourers, farmers and common man will have to stand against current cruel and exploitation system. He urged Pakistani rulers to spend few days with labourers to get aware of their issues. He questioned federal and provincial ministers to apprise nation regarding the steps taken for welfare of labourers.

Sirajul Haq also slammed opposition leadership, saying the names sitting on opposition benches also have offshore companies in Panama who will face accountability soon. He added international dacoits were ruling the country and earnings of a local labour were being shifted to foreign countries.

He said fake representatives were holding discussions over issues of farmers and labourers who were still unaware of workers’ basic needs. He said the rulers spent billions for medical treatment of their pets instead of providing basic facilities of education, medical and shelter to a labourer.

Sirajul Haq demanded authorities to announce minimum wages of a labourer to Rs20,000 in view of current inflation rate besides provision of pensions and other allowances. He also demanded to declare Rs10,000 minimum pension for retired industrial labourers each and provision of interest-free loans for starting their business. He vowed the JI will provide labourers all facilities and perks equivalent to the rulers. He demanded the government to provide unemployment allowance to youths and basic allowance for senior citizens.

Earlier, Sirajul Haq was warmly welcomed on his arrival in Sheikhupura by a crowded rally comprising hundreds of vehicles and motorcycles at Housing Colony By-pass.
