ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq on Thursday visited Charsadda District Hospital and said these type of attacks could be avoided if National Action Plan (NAP) strictly followed.

At least 20 people have been martyred in the attack and all the four terrorists also killed by the security forces.

Sirajul Haq in his statement expressed great grief over the incident and showed solidarity with the families of the victims. He also prayed for early recovery of the injured. JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch also expressed sorrow over the Bacha Khan University Charsadda.

He said Bacha Khan University was attacked over India’s behest.

The Bacha Khan University is a public university approximately 15 kilometers from the centre of Charsadda city. It is named after the peace activist and leader Bacha Khan whose message of peace remains the motto of the university. The attack came on the same date as his death anniversary when a poetic symposium was organized on campus. University officials said around 600 guests were also at the university when the attackers entered the campus and opened fire.
