Sirajul Haq is the country’s poorest senator: ECP

ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq is on the top of the poorest senators of Pakistan.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) details regarding the assets of the Senate members, Taj Muhammad Afridi is the richest senator with assets worth over Rs1.22 billion while the JI chief owns assets of over Rs300,000.

The ECP added that Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has assets worth Rs100.63 million while the worth of assets owned by deputy chairman Saleem Mandviwalla is Rs60.05 million.

The total value of assets of Senator Azam Swati is around Rs8100.1 million, the election commission said, adding that Minister for Law Farogh Naseem owns assets worth Rs3900,9 million.
