Sirajul Haq chairs meeting to discuss CJP’s letter to govt

MANSOORA: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq on Friday chaired an emergency meeting of JI central leadership to discuss the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali’s letter to the government.

JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, Naib Ameer Hafiz Muhammad Adrees, Rashid Naseem, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Deputy Secretary General Muhammad Asghar , Parliamentary leader Sahibzada Tariqullah, JI Ameer KP Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, provincial Finance Minister Muzafar Syed and others were present in the meeting.

The JI high level meeting  come up with three recommendations to resolve the on going crises:

1- Government and opposition should not seek ways to avoid judicial probe and start negotiation immediately so as to form joint ToRs for Panama inquiry commission.

2- The meeting stressed on necessary legislation for judicial probe.

3- CJP should constitute the judicial commission on Panama papers for national unity.

“Corruption Free Pakistan” train march’s arrangements were also discussed in the meeting.

Earlier, addressing the people in Jamia Masjid Mansoora, Sirajul Haq said if the government will not take the executions of innocent people in Bangladesh at International Court of Justice, Hasina Wajid will demand to hand over army generals among 163 personnel soon over Indian stimulation.

Sirajul Haq declared the execution of Motiur Rahman Nizami as a great loss for Muslim World. He lashed out at Pakistan government over its negligence at the issue. He said it was the matter of protection of the ideology of Pakistan. The JI leader lauded Turkey over setting an example by withdrawing its ambassador form Bangladesh, for the Muslim World, particularly for Pakistan.

He said the executions of Motiur Rahman Nizami and fellows will strengthen the movement in Bangladesh and Pakistan.  He said Islamic revolution will soon come into view in the region.
