LAHORE: Ameer Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq has alleged that the ruling elite class has broken all records of oppression, tyranny and urged the party workers to prepare themselves for a final battle with the government in March next.

Addressing a workshop for the JI leaders at district, zone and UC levels at Mansoora on Saturday, Sirajul Haq said that the rulers have levied taxes worth billions on the poor instead of bringing back the country’s 376 billion dollars lying abroad. He said that the country must be freed from the clutches of economic and political terrorists as well.

He said that National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism was not been implemented in true spirit but was being used for political goals. He said that there had been no satisfactory progress regarding reforms in Balochistan and FATA, ending poverty and illiteracy, reforms in criminal justice system and the registration of religious seminaries. He said at the behest of the colonial powers, the Ulema and the Muslims were being blamed for terrorism.

The JI chef said that the tax amnesty bill was aimed at protection of the feudal lords, vaderas and capitalists and those plundering billions were being facilitated. Politics had become a lucrative business.

Sirajul Haq said that Islam was the messenger of world peace. Enemies of Islam were carrying out the massacre of the Muslims but were at the same time, blaming the Muslims for terrorism.  He said the Pakistani rulers were playing to the tune of their foreign masters. The rulers were misleading the masses through false facts and were in search of excuses to continue their exploitation.
