Shutter down strike announced in Quetta

Various political parties announced shutter down strike in the provincial capital Quetta on June 8 (tomorrow) against killings in recent terrorism incident here on Sunday.

Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) and Shia Council Balochistan announced to observe shutter down strike in order to protest against killing of various persons in Quetta.

Later, the strike call was also supported by Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) post announcement by its spokesperson.

The political parties condemned the terrorism incident took many lives in Quetta and appealed traders to voluntarily suspend all activities tomorrow.

It should be mentioned that at least four persons including father and his son were shot dead on Sunday evening in a terrorism incident occurred in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.

Unidentified assailants resorted to indiscriminate firing on locals at Bacha Khan Chowk area of the provincial capital city, killing four people and injuring two in the incident.

The extremists managed to flee from the location while the incident spread severe terror amongst the citizens. Post firing incident, trade activities were suspended following closure of several markets and suburban areas including Circular Road, Mission Road, Suraj Ganj market.

Rescue team shifted the dead bodies and injured persons to the nearby hospital.

Heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies cordoned off whole area and commenced search operation to arrested the culprits behind the incident.

Chief Minister Balochistan took notice of the incident and called report of the incident.
