BEIJING: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Chinese President Xi Jinping in which they agreed to increase bilateral cooperation and strengthen strategic partnership.

This is Shehbaz Sharif’s first visit to China after assuming the post of prime minister. A delegation of federal ministers, special assistants and senior government officials is also with the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met China’s President Xi Jinping in Beijing. In the meeting, mutual cooperation between Pakistan and China, especially in economic fields, was discussed.

The heads of both countries agreed to increase multilateral cooperation including CPEC and further strengthen strategic partnership.

The Prime Minister will also meet with Chinese investors and Pakistani businessmen today. There will be discussions for further promotion of multilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China including CPEC.

Earlier, the US once again rejected the claim of overthrowing Imran Khan’s government by conspiracy.

While giving a briefing in Washington, the spokesperson of the US State Department, Ned Price, while responding to the question of the claim of Imran Khan overthrowing the government through conspiracy, said that he can give correct information in response to false and false information.
