Shehbaz emphasizes on monitoring system for quality education

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that information technology was essential for realizing the dream of quality education.

Presiding over a high level meeting, here, which considered various proposals for promoting quality education in public sector schools, he said that it was need of the hour to promote quality education through information technology.

He said that quality education was the right of every child and all out resources would be provided for this purpose. He stated that provision of quality education depended upon digital measures and due attention should be paid to teachers’ training.

He said that effective monitoring mechanism was of utmost importance for achieving the aim of quality education.  An American-based Pakistani educationist Asad Jamaal briefed the meeting on digital measures for promoting quality education.

Provincial Minister for Schools Education Rana Mashood Ahmad, Chairman Punjab Education Foundation, Qamar ul Islam MPA, education expert Dr. Zafar Quraishi and secretaries concerned were also present in the meeting.
