SHC bans Chingchi Rickshaws in Sindh

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) has given verdict against Chingchi Rickshaws and ordered immediate action against them.

Chingchi association had filed an application in the court in which it stated that Traffic Police daily take thousands of rupees in name of Route Permit.

On the other hand Traffic Police said in its defense that the rickshaws are running without road permit and registration.

The advocate of the police said before the court that these rickshaws doesn’t have fitness certificates which causes major accidents daily.

He demanded before the court to ban these rickshaws.

SHC giving the judgment under the Motorcycle ordinance of 1969 that ordered to take immediate action against those rickshaws running without Route Permit and fitness certificate in the province.
