Tait is known for his pace capable of bowling 100mph which earned him the crown of second fasted bowler after Shoaib Akhter.

Tait made his test debut for Australia way back in 2005 but his test stint with Australia was shortened due to recurring injuries and also due to the fact that Australia had a very settled and world class bowling attack during that time.

He made his ODI and T20 debut in 2007 and was in and out of the Australian side for the next four years. After the 2011 world cup in India where Australia were knocked out in the quarters by India proved to be his last match and after that he has not been able to make a comeback.
