ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed on Friday said that death row convict Shafqat Hussain’s execution was not deferred by any court.
Talking to media in Islamabad, he said that the government is investigating as to why the execution of Shafqat Hussain was deferred.
Nisar claimed that Hussain was 23 when he committed the crime which led him to his execution but the photo circulated on social media led many to believe that he was younger.
The minister further said that some Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) are working on foreign agenda.
“No pressure shall be accepted on bringing the NGOs within the parameters of law”
