President SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Asif Ismail urged member countries to strengthen intra-trade activities.
SCCI President Asif Ismail expressed his satisfaction over pace of construction of state of the art nine-storey headquarters building of SCCI being constructed in Islamabad, Pakistan.
This was stated in a statement issued by SCCI President Asif Ismail from Maldives while addressing inaugural session of the Executive Committee of the Chamber at Bhutan.
All vice presidents and members of the executive committee from India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan attended the high level two-day meeting.
He said that next annual SCCI meeting will be held in Pakistan in 2016.
