ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has declared void the election of NA-19, Haripur constituency and ordered Election Commission of Pakistan to hold re-election.
According to details, a three member bench headed by Justice Jawad S Khawaja accepted the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Raja Amir Zaman’s review petition and ordered re-election in the constituency from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Omer Ayub of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had won the election after re-polling in seven polling stations of NA-19 in January 2014.
