ISLAMABAD: A spokesman for the Ministry of Religious Affairs said the Saudi government had not yet issued a quota for Hajj to any country.

In a statement on Thursday, the spokesman said that the Ministry of Religious Affairs would announce the Hajj Policy 2021 after receiving the Hajj quota. People should not consult any travel company or agent for Hajj before the final announcement of the ministry.

The spokesman said that booking of Hajj by any person or company before the announcement of the ministry would be considered illegal. Some fraudulent elements can cause financial loss to the public by swindling Hajj bookings.

He warned that disciplinary action would be taken if any such action was reported. The public should be aware of the deceptive elements.
