Saudi Arabia, UAE informed IMF about financing of $3bn to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have informed the International Monetary Fund (IMF) regarding the financing of $3 billion to Pakistan.

Talking to a local TV, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that Saudi Arabia and UAE have reported to the IMF regarding the financing of Pakistan.

According to Ishaq Dar, Saudi Arabia has confirmed giving 2 billion dollars to Pakistan while UAE has confirmed giving 1 billion dollars to Pakistan.

Ishaq Dar says that all the conditions of staff level agreement between Pakistan and IMF have been fulfilled.

The Finance Minister has expressed hope that the IMF staff level agreement will be approved by the Executive Board soon.
