Rs 27,560 m alloacted for PAEC

ISLAMABAD: An amount of Rs 27,560 million has been allocated for Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in Public Sector Development Programme the for fiscal year 2016-17.

According to the budgetary document issued here on Friday, an amount of Rs 750 million was allocated for only one new scheme of provision of equipment for four PAEC Cancer Hospitals (Modified) (Bahawalpur, Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad).

While an amount of Rs 26,810.469 was earmarked for 17 on-going schemes of the Commission with the highest funding of Rs 22,324 million for Chasma Nuclear Power Project Unit C-3 and C-4.

The other main projects included Rs 796.429 million for Up-gradation of MINAR, Multan, Rs 655 million for  Up-gradation/Extension of PINSTECH Labs (Phase-II), Rs 430.328 million for Extension of INCR, Abbottabad, Rs 424 million for Chemical Processing Plant (CPP) (Mianwali) and Rs 408.816 million for Up-gradation of Centre for Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy (CENAR), Quetta.
