LAHORE: In a rejoinder to the federal information minister, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah has offered Fawad Chaudhry to immediately file a case against him and become a complainant in the FIR.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, the PML-N leader said that he stands by his opinion and would not back out due to threats of the registration of terrorism case.

He said that his statements should not be compared with those issued by Saad Rizvi and Imran Khan.

Earlier in the day, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had said that a terrorism case would be registered against PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah.

Speaking to the media, Chaudhry said that a terrorism case would be filed against Rana Sanaullah over his “threats” to the Punjab chief secretary, commissioner and others.

The information minister added that the PML-N leader had hurled threats yesterday at the Punjab chief secretary, commissioner and others. A case under the Anti-Terrorism Act will be filed against the PML-N leader and in this connection directives had been issued, he further said.

No one can be allowed to threaten any government officer and his family and pass insulting remarks against the state institutions. He has to do politics within the limits of the Constitution, Chaudhry warned.

He will face a legal action if he tried to blackmail institutions, the federal minister added.
