Rain delays 2nd Ireland-Pakistan ODI

MALAHIDE: Rain delayed the scheduled 10:45am local time (0945 GMT) start in the second one-day international between Ireland and Pakistan at Malahide on Saturday.

With heavy rain continuing to lash the ground, prospects for a full 50-overs per side match were bleak.

Pakistan lead the two-match series 1-0 after thrashing Ireland by 255 runs in the first ODI at Malahide on Thursday — their biggest victory in terms of runs in the format.

Sharjeel Khan made a blistering 152 — his maiden century at this level.
