ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani has strongly condemned the use of state terrorism by India on innocent peaceful civilians exercising their democratic right of protest in Occupied Kashmir.

Rabbani, in a statement here Tuesady, said the Indian acts  were a blatant violation of international norms and fundamental  rights, particularly the right of life, freedom of expression,  right of peaceful protest and the right of peaceful assembly.

The double standards of the world had once again been exposed as they watched silently the massacre of innocent civilians in Indian Occupied Kashmir, he added.

Rabbani said it was strange how India’s new strategic partners continue to watch in silence these crude violations of international norms.

The history of struggling people was testament to the fact that legitimate and lawful rights could not be suppressed through state oppression, he added.
