MOSCOW: Explosions are being heard in various parts of Ukraine, including the capital, Kiev, following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of an attack on Ukraine.

Speaking on television, the Russian president announced the military operation in Donbass, saying that Russia would respond if there was any foreign intervention.

On the other hand, UN Security Council has asked Russia to give chance to peace.

According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, explosions are being heard in the Ukrainian capital Kiev and the Donbas region.
