Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to treat coronavirus patients with malaria medicine on testing basis.
Provincial health minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid said that the government had decided to give malaria medicine to the coronavirus patients on a testing basis in Punjab.
She said that after giving medicine to the patients any conclusion could be reached.
The provicial governnent had a stock of the medicine and further 50,000 tablets had also been procured.
It may be mentioned here that yesterday (Wednesday) Mayo Hospital Chief Executive Dr Asad Aslam said that eight patients were succesfuly treated by giving malaria medicine.
