The maiden session of Punjab Assembly has been convened tomorrow morning.

The Punjab Assembly meeting will be held tomorrow at 10 am. The newly elected members will take oath in the Punjab Assembly meeting.

It should be remembered that Punjab Assembly is the first provincial assembly which has been convened after the general elections held on February 8 in the country.

In the Punjab Assembly, Pakistan Muslim League-N has the highest number of seats – 137 members – while independent candidates are in second place. Many independent candidates have also announced to join the Pakistan Muslim League-N.

Earlier, PPP has shortlisted three names for the office of Punjab governor.

According to sources, the names of Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Nadeem Afzal Chan are being considered for the post of Punjab governor.
