PESHAWAR: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was given a chance of making  new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)  but the leadership did not come true on its promises made to the people of the province after being in power for two years.

He expressed these views while chairing a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senators and members of national and provincial assemblies in Peshawar.

The government is making all-out efforts to counter terrorism in the country. He said that the militants’ network has been destroyed. The PM expressed a resolve to continue war on terror until the last insurgent is killed.

The operations in North Waziristan and Karachi are yielding excellent results, he added. PM Nawaz said that the soft image of the country internationally is improving. He said that the economy of Pakistan is improving and the global media has also highlighted it.

The PM vowed to root-out electricity and gas outages quite soon.
