Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has allowed cellular companies to re-sale 92 million SIMs that were blocked due to non-verification.
The cellular companies can re-sale these SIMs to its consumers. The authorities had blocked the SIMs because these were not verified through biometric system.
The PTA launched crackdown against illegal / unverified SIMs this year on the directives of the government to counter crime and terror-related activities in the country.
