Provincial Budget 2015-16 presented in Balochistan

Balochistan Finance Advisor Mir Khalid Khan Langove presented Provincial Budget for the next fiscal year with a total outlay of Rs243 billion in the provincial assembly here on Wednesday.

Mir Khalid Khan Langove unveiled that deficit of the budget is estimated at Rs26 billion rupees while Rs189 billion allocated for non-development expenditures and Rs54 billion for developments projects.

Over Rs2.51 billion allocated for education, Rs6 billion for agriculture Rs2.7 billion rupees set aside for the law and order situation of the province. Around 1,741 posts would be created in the education sector following the budget 2015-16.

Rs14.33 billion will be spent on energy sector and Rs1.11 billion allocated for commerce and industries. Increment in salaries and pension of the government employees decided up to 7.5 per cent in the new financial year. Overall 5,000 employment would be generated in the financial year 2015-16.

Gwadar International Airport will be constructed with assistance of the federal government. Langove said that PhD allowance will be increased to Rs10,000 that was stood at Rs7,000 while Rs5,000 set aside as M.Phil allowance from Rs750 in previous financial year.

Balochistan opposition boycotted the budget session and later the session was adjourned till June 20.
