Protests held across Karachi for Burma Muslims

KARACHI: More than 100 protest demonstrations have been held across Karachi after Friday prayers to express solidity to Muslims in Burma who are being subjected to severe brutalities.

The demonstrations were held by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi, as the party has been pursuing a campaign against brutalities on Muslims of Burma.

In this regard, a major protest demonstration will be held on Sunday January 01, 2017.

A large number of people, belonging to all walks of life participated in the protest demonstrations. Addressing the demonstrations, JI leaders demanded of the government of Pakistan to take solid measures so as to provide some relief to Muslims of Burma.

They stressed the need to spread awareness among people on what in ongoing in Myanmar region. They also demanded of the international bodies to shun hypocrisy and play their due role in connection with the state sponsored massacre and religion based cleansing of Muslims in the region.
