ISLAMABAD: Unidentified miscreants lodged grenade and gun attack on a private news channel, ARY News, office in the federal capital Islamabad on Wednesday (today).
A private news channel ‘ARY News’ was attacked by unidentified assailants who hurled grenade and opened heavy gun fire before fleeing the location, local media reported.
According to report, the attackers also left pamphlets comprising threatening message and fled from the location immediately on motorcycle.
The ARY News reports said that a worker sustained wounds in the incident who was shifted to hospital. The reports said that ‘Daish Afghanistan’ has claimed responsibility of the attack.
Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off whole area and commenced search operation in suburban parts of the incident’s site.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Federal Information Minister made condemnation remarks over the incident.
