PM’s stay in London can be extended for two to three days: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the stay of prime minister Nawaz Sharif in London can further be extended for two to three days as the doctors have advised him to avoid traveling and take complete rest.

Talking to media persons here on Friday, he said that the prime minister would himself chair the National Economic Council after return from London.

He said that the total development budget in the coming fiscal year would more than Rs 1600 billion while energy schemes would be the top priority in the budget. He said a new programme is being started for higher education in next financial year for which Rs 290 billion would be allocated in the budget while Rs 40 billion would be kept for railways.
