ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sought suggestions from former president Asif Ali Zardari and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on prices of petroleum products.

The two leaders met separately with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the current political and economic situation.

It may be recalled that yesterday the federal government had announced to maintain the prices of petroleum products.

The Ministry of Finance has issued a formal notification regarding the prices of petroleum products under which the prices have been fixed for the next 15 days.

Under the notification, the price of petrol will remain at Rs149.86 per liter while the price of high speed diesel will also remain at Rs144.15 per liter.

According to a local TV, as per the notification issued by the Federal Ministry of Finance, the price of kerosene will be maintained at Rs125.56 per litre and similarly the new price of light diesel has been maintained at Rs118.31 per litre.
