ISLAMABAD: Minister of Information, Broadcasting, and National Heritage Pervez Rashid on Thursday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had paid Rs4 million tax in the following year.
While addressing the senate, the minister said that government was performing its duties with full responsibility. He said it was wrong that the PM had paid Rs477 in tax in three years.
On the Mina tragedy, he said all the senate members were dismal over the sad incident, while people had expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the government of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N).
This should be noted that Leader of the Opposition in Senate Aitzaz Ahsan, while addressing the senate in previous days, blamed Nawaz Sharif that he had paid only Rs477 in income tax in three years.
