ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Thursday said PML-N was not afraid of accountability, as he responded to Imran Khan’s statements after the Supreme Court issued notice to the Prime Minister in the Panama Leaks case.

Talking to media outside Supreme Court, Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) welcomes court proceeding and its stance over Panama Leaks issue.

Taking aim at PTI chief Imran Khan, Khawaja Asif asked, “Why doesn’t Imran Khan give accountability for seven million dollars for the Shaukat Khanum Hospital?”

Meanwhile, Minister for Railways and senior PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said the party would respond befittingly to the case. He said Imran Khan could not become the prime minister and now does not want the system to run.

Saad Rafique said that the democratic government of PML-N has adopted a policy of tolerance but no one would be allowed to shut down any city.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said that there is no need to shutdown Islamabad as court has taken notice of Panama Leaks case. He advised Imran Khan to respect state departments.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said that PTI chief’s every single step is dangerous for democracy.
