Prime Minister Imran Khan laid foundation of a women university here on Wednesday.
While addressing the gathering, the prime minister said that only those nations progress which place due importance on education.
“The more amount of money is spent on education, the more a nation progresses,” said the prime minister.
PM Imran said Pakistanis should proceed towards the field of Information Technology.
“It is a shame that this is the first university in Sialkot,” said PM Imran, adding that the reason Pakistan has lagged behind is due to lack of universities.
“Wherever I go, vice chancellors say that they do not have funds,” lamented the prime minister.
The prime minister said that it will be a priority of the government to allocate major funds to education and its promotion.
