ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday dismissed an election petition of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly constituency PK-68 and referred the matter back to trial court.

The court also directed the Trial Court to announce the verdict without influencing the apex court order after early hearing of the case.

The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Mushir Alam heard the case filed by Javed Akber against his disqualification for life over fake documents.

During the course of proceedings, Advocate Munir Piracha counsel for the petitioner said that his client was facing disqualification for life. He pleaded the court to review the point that can his client be disqualified for life or not.

He said that Election Tribunal disqualified his client for life for holding fake documents.
