LAHORE : A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane bound for Jeddah from Lahore made an emergency landing soon after take-off here on Sunday morning.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing due to a fire that broke out in the main engine of the Boeing 777, initial reports suggested, adding short-circuited wires caused the fire.

However, the reports were rejected by a PIA spokesman, claiming PK-759 was called due to a ‘technical fault’.
