PIA’s Airbus grounded after accident at Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airline’s Airbus met an accident at the Islamabad airport on Saturday.
The aircraft’s connecting rod, which connects the plane with the Tug Master, broke during push back.
Sources said that the plane’s nose wheel suffered severe damage due to breaking of the connecting rod.
After the mishap, the PIA plane had been grounded.
A spokesperson for the national carrier said that details regarding the accident were being gathered.
Sources said that the mishap caused a delay in flight from Islamabad to Quetta.
