PIA officers cut their salaries amid aviation business slowdown

Islamabad: The officers of Pakistan International Airlines have reduced their salaries owing to slowdown in the airline business amid coronavirus outbreak.

The Chief Operating Officer of the PIA has announced 20 per cent cut in his salary. The department chief officers have also reduced their salaries 20 per cent.

The managers have slashed their pays by 15 per cent.

The deputy managers of the PIA have cut their salaries by 10 per cent.

It is not clear whether these officers had voluntarily slashed their salaries or they were forced to do so.
