PIA announces special flights to please strike victims

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) chairman Nasir Jaffer announced to operate special flights for passengers affected badly by strike lodged by the Pakistan Airline Pilots’ Association (PALPA).

While addressing a press conference in Karachi on Friday, Jaffer confirmed that more than 35 flights were cancelled which affected many of passengers following PALPA’s strike. He promised to operate special flights for all of the affected passengers.

The chairman said that he was not aware of the demands while the administration was confused to envisage a regulation if pilots went absent due to ailment per day.

He vowed that dialogues will be held soon with PALPA to resolve matters as soon as possible.
