LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is holding talks with West Indies and Sri Lankan cricket boards to arrange a series in Pakistan in the middle of the next year.

“Yes, top PCB officials are engaged in talks with their counterparts in West Indies and Sri Lankan cricket boards and hopefully one of the teams from these countries will tour Pakistan after the conclusion of Pakistan Super League  (PSL),” a PCB source close to the developments told APP on Friday.

The source also disclosed that the final of PSL would be held on 9th of March, 2017 but stated that it could not be said with certainty where would it take place.

It may be mentioned here that no top test team has toured Pakistan since March, 2009 after the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team bus in Lahore.

However, low ranked sides including Afghanistan and Zimbabwe had toured Pakistan for short tours with their matches mainly organized in Lahore. Last year also the PCB had convinced the West Indies Cricket Board to play a few matches in Pakistan but it didn’t materialize.
