PCB announces squad for World T20, Asia Cup

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15 member squad for upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20 (T20) in India and Asia Cup.

Surprisingly Khuram Manzor was named in the squad in place of out of form Ahmed Shehzad.

Umar Gul and Sohaib Maqsood were also unable to impress the selectors with their recent performances while Junaid Khan and Saeed Ajmal were also ignored.

Kamran Akmal who is expected to make the comeback was also not selected in the side while his younger brother Umar Akmal got another chance.

Two emerging players from ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Rumman Raees and Mohammad Nawaz managed to get their maiden call.

The final squad are as follows: Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmed, Immad Wasim, Anwer Ali, Babar Azam, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Amir, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Irfan, Rumman Raees, Wahab Riaz, Khurram Manzoor.
