PORT RICHMOND :As many as five persons were killed and around 40 to 60 persons were injured as passenger train derailed in the Port RIchmond section of Philadelphia in United States.
City Mayor of Philadelphia has confirmed the casualties adding that more six are in critical condition.
The Amtrak train was heading to New York City from Washington.
The trains service have been suspended partially. According to the details 8 to 10 cars derailed. Approximately 200 people were on board when the train derailed around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

They are being taken to Temple University Hospital, Jefferson University Hospital, Hahnemann University Hospital, and Einstein Medical Center.
Fire Commissioner Derrick Sawyer is calling this a mass casualty incident.
An eyewitness said he was on the train. it appeared it went off the tracks. He said he was fortunate to be at the back of the train and the front of it “looks pretty bad.”
Police swarming the area where the crash occurred are telling people to get back.
